Everything you tell Calyn in the interview — your name, age, city, work, the people who matter to you, your wishes, why they matter, what stands in the way, your lifestyle tags and your "Never include" list — is stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone or Android phone. So are your stories, seven-day plan, daily affirmations, favorites, streak, reminder settings and downloaded narration. Questions you skip are stored as nothing at all. Calyn has no accounts and no user database.
Nothing is sent for advertising, and nothing is sold.
Requests pass through a proxy we run on Cloudflare Workers, which holds the service credentials so they never ship inside the app. It uses standard request metadata that Cloudflare provides (including IP address) only for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and keeps a daily count of requests. We do not store the content of your requests. Generated narration is cached on the server, keyed by a hash of the text and voice, so replaying a story doesn't synthesize it again; cached audio expires after 30 days.
Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. They're off until you turn them on, and no push server is involved.
Calyn Plus is billed by Apple or Google. Subscription status is checked through RevenueCat using an anonymous app identifier. We never see your payment details.
Open Profile → Settings → Delete everything to erase your profile, stories, plan, affirmations and downloaded narration from the phone. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data. Deleting data doesn't cancel a subscription; manage that in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Calyn is not directed at children under 13.
